1) Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using giveU (“Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”) and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2) Purpose & Eligibility
The Service is designed for churches, ministry leaders, and members seeking to serve their local communities. You must be able to form a binding contract and comply with applicable laws. Youth participation should be under church or parental oversight.
3) Accounts & Security
- You are responsible for your account credentials and for all activity under your account.
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use or security incident.
- We may take reasonable steps (e.g., verification, temporary suspension) to protect the community.
4) Acceptable Use
- Use the Service to build unity, practice charity, and connect gifts to needs—never to harm, harass, mislead, or divide.
- Do not post illegal content; do not share others’ private information without consent; do not spam or advertise unrelated products.
- Comply with your church’s guidelines and applicable laws (including safety protocols when serving).
5) Content & Licenses
- Your Content: You retain ownership of content you submit (e.g., profiles, posts, messages). You grant giveU a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and process your content solely to operate and improve the Service.
- Our Content: The Service, including logos, UI, text, and code, is protected by intellectual property laws. Do not copy, modify, or redistribute without permission.
6) Church Subscriptions & Billing
giveU is intended to be supported as ministry. Where subscriptions are offered, one subscription typically covers a single local church body (as defined at signup). Pricing, billing frequency, and included features may be presented at checkout or in your admin dashboard. Any future changes to pricing or terms will be communicated in advance. You’re responsible for any applicable taxes.
7) Service Changes
We may add, change, or discontinue features to improve the Service or protect the community. We’ll aim to provide notice of material changes when reasonable.
8) Safety; Real-World Interactions
Serving often involves in-person activities. Use wisdom and appropriate precautions. giveU does not conduct background checks and is not responsible for the actions of users or third parties. Churches and leaders are responsible for their own policies, vetting, and supervision.
9) Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
10) Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GIVEU AND ITS TEAM SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amounts you paid (if any) in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
11) Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless giveU and its team from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
12) Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if we believe you have violated these Terms, harmed the community, or for security/legal reasons. 13) Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service grows. If changes are material, we’ll provide a clear notice here and/or in the app. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
